Fewer than previous chapters, but still some interesting stuff.

Welcome back for more assets and games that can’t really be played on a computer all that well!

We’re switching it up this time. All of the software will be linked with its corresponding blurb, as I felt that putting them in a pile together didn’t help for searching.

ENOUGH BLABBING, TIME FOR THINGS.

The Ground Itself

Made by Everest Pipkin, The Ground Itself is a oneshot storytelling RPG with minimalistic requirements. Focusing on how we perceive time and space, it allows players to manipulate and explore how time passes and what is left behind, only to be discovered as an echo of it’s former self. It’s focused on being only for a single session, and time to play seems to range depending on familiarity with TTRPGs and narrative based games, but definitely looks to be a fantastic rainy day adventure.

Ironsword: Delve

Expansion for the TTRPG and toolbox Ironsworn made by Shawn Tomkin, Delve is focused primarily on the dungeon crawling aspects (not always a dungeon) of a TTRPG. Featuring new secrets, new areas to discover and new possibilities. Ironsworn, for the record, is an interesting gameset due to its ability to be played solo or with/without a GM, which is quite surreal in comparison to many that usually focus on just the requirement of a GM. Looks to be a fantastic supplement for any Ironsworn campaign or, as some have reported, a toolkit to expand other TTRPGs with their mechanics and themes.

Hex Kit: Spaceland Part One: Space

You might recall Hex Kit from a page or two ago, well here’s more. Spaceland Part One: Space is still by Cone of Negative Energy, and this time the hex grids are all SPAAACE. All of the space adventuring to be thought of is featured here with over 1100 new tile illustrations for all your spacefaring needs.

Station Architect

Keeping with space, AL Wyvern has created Station Architect, a space station creator of your computer. It features a simple interface, dozens of different station types and presets, and a Create mode to customize everything under the multiple suns. Once completed, you can either print it out or (as an added bonus) upload it to Roll20 as a png to automatically make it a backdrop. It even has a soundtrack! Not too shabby.

Okay, Hero

By far the most intriguing entry into the bundle, even moreso than the visual novel of the last page (sorry visual novel enthusiasts…) Okay, Hero is an anthology of Metal Gear Solid essays created by Bullet Points.

Wait please don’t leave.

Joking aside, it’s actually a fantastically written collection of pieces that detail the bizarre aspects that make the MGS series so compelling to so many. It includes 2 pieces for the 5 numerical games and MGS: Peace Walker, totaling in 12 breakdowns in all. I’m calling this one the highlight of this page, and I haven’t even played a Metal Gear game before.

Pixel Art Infinite Runner Pack

Rounding out page 5 is an art asset pack by edermunizz, focused primarily towards those that are looking to create an endless runner in a 2D landscape. This includes backgrounds, characters with a few animations, and even some gif examples to get people started. There’s also a single music track in there as well if that helps get the creative ideas flowing. It’s just a solid art pack that state’s its niche up front, so if you are looking for some assets to make an infinite runner this is a good place to start.

Page 6 will begin today. Ho boy.
