Welcome back to the part of the program where I cover the software and physical games because it’s hard to talk about them normally.
Let’s go!
Glitter Hearts
A world in which you create your own hero, your own team, and your own mascot is crafted for 3–6 players with Glitter Heart. Created by Greg Leatherman, players only need a six-sided dice to create their own magical superhero with all the glitter one can dream of while balancing your secret identity. There are tons of moves to utilize, and it only takes a few hours to play, so it’s perfect for the ultimate customizable one shot.
RPG Farming Kit
In a move I wasn’t expecting, this is a complete project template for a 2D Unity based game. It comes with a link to the Unity Asset Store and a WebGL Demo to see the full possibilities, while also having full documentation. There are 10 different features within the template, along with patches and assistance. If you want to try your hand at creating a Unity game for practice, this is a fantastic asset to keep in mind.
Feathers
Another TTRPG utilizing the BOB system by Avery Alder, Remi Garreau has created an intimate storytelling game about fallen angels. It’s meant for only 3–4 people and contains handouts and a bonus situation for players to utilize in their story. It’s perfect for a one shot with a smaller party that can’t decide on a GM and doesn’t have any dice lying around.
Lava Caves Pixelart Tileset
This 2D asset pack by aamatniekss is specifically for those that wish to delve into the world of lava and cave levels. It contains dozens of sprites for backdrops and enemies, along with spikes going in all directions and character animations for your running needs. If you need a lava level, this might be the pack for you.
Lil’ Dragon — Pixel Art Tileset
Raou makes another appearance with this 2D tileset package, stylized around old JRPGs. Contains over 400 tiles and a bunch of different themed ones for forests, ice and dungeons. Does not include the character sprites, so keep that in mind.
The Dark Below
This is a TTRPG about dungeon crawling by Anna Landin who has an extensive list of content outside of the bundle. The Dark Below follows players as exiles in a labyrinth attempting to find a gate that supposedly grants freedom. Interestingly, it utilizes only a 12 sided die. It also includes a supplement called Shades and Echoes to assist Guides (see:GM) and give advice on how to make each game more varying.
Mythos Reawakening
I believe this is the first 3D asset pack that I’ve come across within the bundle, courtesy of PVGames, although to be fair it may be more accurate to consider it 2.5D thanks to the camera angle and cRPG stylistic choices. REgardless, this is a massive asset pack for RPGs with different time period-based environments from the 30's, 40's and 50’s. There are monsters, interior rooms, background images, unique characters and a bunch more assets. Interestingly, this is actually a ‘sequel’ of sorts to a previous asset pack, so if you are looking for more than what is here you may be interested in PVGames’ other works.
