This feels a tad odd to put 2 software here, but hey I made a commitment to having these separate.
Agents of the O.D.D
A tabletop game made by Jason Tocci, a UX Researcher and tabletop game designer, Agents of the O.D.D has players delve into a strange world of agents, psychics and cryptids. It’s rules are based on the games called Into the Odd and Electric Bastionland, which I have yet to play either so I’m not certain I can comment much on that aspect. There are a bunch of revisions and updates, so check it out if you are looking for something a little surreal.
Gentle Forest
Inspired by the likes of Seiken Densetsu 3 and Trials of Mana, Gentle Forest is a free tileset for 2D games by Seliel the Shaper. It’s part of a large collection of tilesets called ‘Mana Seed’ which has dozens of tiles and avatars in the spirit of SNES titles. It’s clean, it’s crisp, and it can be upgraded for certain price thresholds for more colour pallets and other addons.
