Scary to think that we’ve made it to here, huh.

Avery Chase — EP1 : Apparition

Welcome to the future, everyone, we’re getting space’d. In this comic series by C.Bedford, viewers will witness the birth of a new adventure following one Avery Chase, a simple spaceman who just wants to get some money doing questionably dangerous jobs. The narrative is told in a semi-enclosed capsule-style, where each chapter will have its own resolution to its plot but will paint a wider brushstroke of the stars as it goes. The art is fantastic, and Chapter 2 is already on itch.io, so go see for yourself.

Extended monster pack

Need more monsters? SorceressGameLab has you covered with this set of 48 varying 2D monsters. They come in all varieties from little snakes to mushroom people, fitting snuggly within the 16x16 framework. These aren’t animated, mind you, so best to use them in static scenarios. Hope you enjoy!

Hardship River

In this singular paged TTRPG, Hardship River has two players floating down a river and slowly uncovering what exactly they are doing, who they are, what they are carrying and why they are there as the adventure plays out. Hardships will be endured as players figure out whether or not they even like each other as they go towards the Unconquered City as the wild west-esque themes allow for a lack of modern safety. It’s a strong narrative structure on its own, and I could definitely see it being used for campaign setups. Give it a whirl if you want to!

Moon Child & Sun Knight

Moon Child & Sun Knight bring us to a fantastical land in this light novel by sakevisual, known for their visual novels. Here is the tale of Cally, who’s perfect elder brother Ciaran is poised to become the next High King while Cally remains a shadow. Unfortunately, Cally’s work is just starting as a nefarious plot begins to brew and an assassin is discovered. It does a nice job of keeping things simple to follow while remaining engaging, and with just under 50k words there’s definitely going to be some twists and turns to follow.

Photoshop Inkers

More brushes from Void, who made the font pack earlier on. This includes 115 brushes for any and all kinds of art. I’m not really an artist so I can’t say that I’m super on top of this style of thing, but definitely check it out if you’re interested.

Harvest Valley

The title I thought was a game at first, Harvest Valley is a TTRPG made by DarkLavenderVoid that features 4–5 players simply preparing a harvest festival for the local town. The mechanic behind the title is that the dice are not just methods of deciding fate, but also resources given by the land itself. Once the land runs out of dice, it becomes unable to give players anything to sustain their characters; meaning that change is necessary; too bad that there doesn’t seem to be a way to stop it. Almost like that was intentional or something. Try it out if you want to experience despair within a few hours.

PIXEL ART METROIDVANIA ASSET PACK

More pixel art for platformers, this time by user o_lobster. This contains the sets for two styles of level, between cave and forest, as well as animated sprites for dozens of features such as characters, enemies, items and even a brazier to watch the fire glow. It allows for dozens of creative works, so go forth and see what you can make

SOULS & STRIPES

In an interesting twist, SOULS & STRIPES is a collection of 17 fan comics made by Feral Phoenix centred around the fantastical lands of Undertale and Deltarune. It’s in both English and Japanese, contains exclusive artwork that hasn’t been used and a new comic that was never released until this anthology. If you are an enjoyer of toby fox’s works and want some fan created content, this might be what you’ve been looking for.

Wretched Wasteland

Time to get a bit darker with Wretched Wasteland, a solo TTRPG made by Stuart W. This adventure in to a wasteland has players taking the role of a scout in one of the last remaining settlements trying to traverse the wasteland for anything to return home with. To play requires a deck of cards, a die and a jenga-tower, all to simulate the feeling of uncertain and exploration as players attempt to make their way back. Good luck surviving, you’ll need it.

PICO-8

I was wondering when you’d show up!

This is the engine of legend made by lexaloffle, seen before in many of the games in this bundle and enabling thousands more to be created by indie devs everywhere. It features tons of different options to allow for manipulation and creation, with code, mapping, music editors, sfx, and more just begging to be used in your next creative project. There are tons of developers and forum users to help answer any questions, especially since it’s still technically in beta. So get out there and start creating things.

I’m going to nap now, bye!
